Gunning Young Barristers and Solicitors was established in 1989 and has represented Western Australians with all criminal and traffic charges. We have acted for individuals across all the Western Australian Courts (including Children's Court, Magistrates Court, District Court and the Supreme Court) and the Australian High Court. Our success is attributable to a fair and realistic approach towards all clients and their matters. We offer our support by an unbiased and non-judgemental approach towards all our client’s needs.

Abhi Sethi

Solicitor

Abhi joined Gunning Young Barristers & Solicitors as a Law Clerk in 2020 and since his admission in 2021, he now works for the firm as a solicitor. He has previously interned at a community legal centre, working in the field of Disability Discrimination law and a family law firm in Perth. Abhi completed his schooling in Perth and graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Commerce in 2015. He then moved to Canberra for Juris Doctor degree at the Australian National University, which he completed at the end of 2019. It is during his time at law school, where he developed a passion for criminal law and the Australian criminal legal system. Abhi is a West-Australian sports tragic and aspires to one day adopt a German Shepherd puppy, although does not yet consider himself ready.
